Big Rog day 3 dealing with Bell’s Palsy
Well I am definitely glad to be alive and I have had two days of extra time with my kids getting them off to school and dropping them off at the bus so it’s not all bad. All night I had twitching on the left side of my face which I am told is a good sign that the nerves are trying to fire again.
I went to the chiropractor again today and had some electro muscle stimulation and a neck adjustment and I am soon off to another doctor’s appointment. I am also contacting a neurologist just to be safe! I learned that I should not try to exercise my facial muscles until the nerves start to come back as that can cause permanent damage.
I am getting lots of rest and getting lots of protein as protein promotes the growth of nerves. I have been using an eye patch and eye cream at night to protect my eye and eye drops with sunglasses throughout the day. So I am just taking it one day at a time, I will be in the studio tonight, and at work tomorrow. I am trying to be patient and stay positive about it all which has been going pretty well since I have the support of all of my friends and family. It’s been scarier than anything, a little embarrassing in public but I don’t normally care what people think about me anyway so no biggy.
O and yes Sheila my Weiner still works LMAO!!!!
